Airport Transfer Description
The distance between Sofia Airport and Borovets is only 69 km. In normal weather and road conditions it is a one-hour airport transfer. It is a scenic route, which curves through the beautiful villages of Pancharevo, Kokalyane and Pasarel and offers views over the Pancharevo Lake, the Iskar Dam and the Rila Mountains. Borovets is Bulgaria’s second most popular ski resort and its proximity to Sofia makes it an attractive, all year round, local, tourist destination. The road to Samokov, which is only 10 km away from Borovets is always busy, so overtaking is risky. There are over 100 accommodation facilities, but most of them are close to the cabin lift. It will take us some 15 minutes more to cross resort’s center and reach the hotels in the upper part of the mountain.
